Make It Early
Make It Early
by Silvio Gulizia

If you do the most important tasks of your personal project first thing in the early morning, the rest of the day, with its work and dues, will not prevent you to take care of your passion.
This part of the day is the only one in which you’re full of energy.
Choose the topic you want to work on the evening before. Spend the time in between the end of your work and the evening to meditate about the next step. You will even spend the night thinking about it on a subconscious level.
You need to make it difficult not to do what you planned. Leave a post-it waiting for you on your table, or in the first place you will visit the next day. This is a useful tip I got from reading a post by Shawn Blanc titled “The Note” For me, this means to leave the yoga mat on the living room floor, so first thing in the morning will be my yoga training. It will drive to a meditation session, and after that I will be ready to write a page of my new book or a new blog post.
Create a ritual and include it in your rituals: this is how you can protect your MIT (Most Important Task).
Set a timer. This will help you to stay focus on the job.
Start with a little commitment. As Leo Babauta wrote in a post on Zenhabits, “doing the habit is much more important than how much you do”.
Take time to schedule the next step. Without a plan, you will never know what to do, and you will lose time in choosing among different options. Plan in the evening what you’ll be working on the next morning. This method works for me. Hope it can helps you too.
